Pro-Sessional — a one-day professional development conference for practitioners of dramaturgy in the UK
The Network is pleased to announce this practical professional development day for all those engaged in dramaturgical practice in Britain.
In collaboration with the Literary Manger´s forum, Writernet and Soho Theatre the Dramaturgs´ Network presents Pro-sessional — a practical conference challenging and supporting the processes of dramaturgy on the UK.
The day´s programme will combine:
- hands-on workshops
- open rehearsals,
- open space sharing and
- topical fora.

Pro-sessional will have a particular focus on alternative theatre-making practice, including cross art-form collaborations, dance, physical theatre and devising as well as the development of new writing.
All sessions will be practical and skills´ focussed exploring key dramaturgical processes:
- ideas development
- facilitation
- challenging form and content
- analysing performance from the floor
It will be a unique opportunity to develop your skills, connect with more practitioners in the field and to witness other´s practices in action.
